We spend all week writing the words for you, dear readers, so it is only fair that we read the words you write to us.
Comments of the week are our weekly roundup in which we take a look at our favorites:
- Posted comments on our site
- Replies to our tweets
- Messages in VGC Discord Server (Join Us!)
- Comments on our YouTube videos
To qualify for comments of the week, a comment doesn’t necessarily have to be entertaining (although it certainly helps with its chances). It can be a good point, an interesting remark, or, sometimes, something ridiculous that needs to be mentioned.
It should go without saying, but if you’d like a chance to be featured in the comments of the week in the future, be sure to comment on our articles, reply to our tweets, comment on our YouTube videos, and join our Discord server. We’ll take it from there.
Here’s the reason for the cut this week.

Call of Duty Vanguard multiplayer is currently available for one week
“Makes me laugh, they say Vanguard failed due to consumer overload. Getting a new toy every year.
“But what killed Vanguard was matchmaking bids and lobbies dissolution, not to mention a lot of bugs. They killed their game with their executive decisions.
“I would have more respect for them if they admitted they made a mistake and got rid of the hammer games. Because if Sledgehammer is still in the ring, two/four years from now…no one is buying the COD game they make.”
We don’t think that a week’s free trial is necessarily proof that the game has been “killed”, the fall.
DICE says Battlefield 2042 Season 1 is slated to release in early June
“Screw the dice. The only reason I buy this rubbish is to hack 128px, and they won’t even issue refunds for removing a major selling point and lying to the community. 64-player modes were supposed to be temporary, but I believe they are in fact permanent and 128p modes are temporary because DICE might block them without warning.
“I hope the S1 crashes and burns harder for them than launch. They deserve all the failure for their poor handling of this game, support and post-launch communication, or lack of it because they barely transmit anything.”
Well looks like it’s been a blissful week so what about the COD comment and now that’s from greater kinship.

Tweets of the week
Don’t be… Actually, wait. You have our interest.
We somewhat agree, but since the S Series performs so well in Japan, we’re wondering if people there would like to buy it in addition to the PS5, rather than “more than the PS5”.
“You won’t love me when I’m on a killing chain.”
Good point, though, feeling rebellious.
In danger of getting too deep, no one really Need Any video game. It would be nice, though.
Aooof, Vanguard started kicking this week.
You know a tweet made an impact when people brought it up a decade later.
How do you pay for GamePass then? in biscuits?
